Great game my only complain would be that they really should have remade this game instead of a remaster. This game would have benefited from a completely different melee system as the melee combat is still terrible not too mention some of the glitches and bad enemy placement with no real diverse enemy sets.

Outstanding game, one of the greatest ever made, this Remaster is a really nice QOL addition to make it seamless to play on modern machines and hopefully this and the SS1 Remake introduce new generations to some of the best world building and level design in gaming history! Game keeps randomly dropping to 10 fps for 20-30 seconds at a time. Tried Vulkan and DirectX 11, vsync on and off etc.

A good remaster that keeps the original gameplay feel intact and makes the game more accessible on modern systems without fiddling around with settings.

Worth it even if you never played the first, but you'll get more out of it if you play System Shock Remake (or even better, Enhanced Edition). It's a masterpiece that looks and runs better than ever. Thank you, Nightdive
