Shogun Showdown

Got this game in 2024 and put 20 hours in, really liked it but thought I saw everything it has to offer. Installed it back 2 years later on a whim and poured another 35 hours in without even realizing it. Worth at least twice the full price for me.

It's good. After a while it gets stale, but the honeymoon period while you mess with the characters for the first time is really good. I wish there was some kind of true ending, or better yet, an extra zone or boss. It's a roguelike, but after clearing a run on the hardest difficulty there's not much difference betw…

Good game. Wish you didn't have to climb difficulties with each character individually, though.

Fun and creative rougelike. Enchantments are really cool and add a good layer of depth to a lot of tiles, and there is a sizeable number of tiles. Satisfying to play as well as being strategic.

Easy to pick up, hard to put down. Highly addictive gameplay loop.

INCREDIBLE roguelike that's perfect for chilling on the steam deck or even a second screen. Feels good to chain some schizophrenic chain of attacks and clear a room, and never feels unearned when you choke and get yourself juggled.
